Icosidyadic Festivals

Each of the 22 goods of the Icosidyad gets a holy day.

Fool's day (Jan 1st): drinking and festivities, culminating in the casting off of something old and the consecration of next year's labors.

Weirlund's day (January 22nd): drinking and festivities, horoscope readings.

Ilidia's day (February 11th): drinking and festivities, separate rituals for women & similar.

Alanthe's day (February 27th) and Agnos' day (February 28th): drinking and festivities, tax collection (unless waived to celebrate a coronation).

Ogilev's day (March 10th): fasting & prayer, recitation of the names of the Gods & Saints, naming ceremonies for youths.

Levis' & Astris' day (March 29th): drinking and festivities, repetition of marriage vows, sowing crops.

Clastrix's day (April 4th): drinking and festivities, games of speed and skill.

Veclund's day (April 17th): fasting & prayer, games of strength and fortitude.

Zartha's day (May 22nd): fasting & prayer, crowning of holy fools with a wreath of copper wire and snake ivy.

Idraluna festival (Summer solstice): drinking & festivities.

Vestia's day (July 15th): The day on which bailiffs & magistrates may be put to trial

Elanzar's day (July 29th): Fasting & prayer, irregularly observed except by Ektashi heretics.

Day of the dead (August 1st): All-night vigil, massive bonfires

Rilya's day (August 2nd): fasting & prayer

Dance of the devils (August 19th): Carnevale, lifting of sumptuary laws, drinking & festivities

Obelisk day (August 24th): Burning of sacred effigies at the obelisk, closure of devil's dance festivities

Nissa's day (Sep. 1st): Fasting & prayer, the day of the Broadcast Brotherhoods

Lune's day (First full moon in September): Sharing of the special absinthe & interpretation of the resulting dreams

Sol's day (Autumn equinox ~ Sep. 22): Drinking & festivities, harvest feasting

Judgement day (October 12th): Fasting & confession, drinking from the chalice of cosmic atonement

Midwinder (Dec 21-31st): Drinking & festivities, recitation of the Icosidyadic Invocations
