Castle Mordengard Session 5

Summary
Titania, Celery, and Misophonia set out from Centrist Bandit HQ for a routine raid into castle Mordengard, taking the usual basement route into the castle. Deciding to explore South for a change, they encountered 12 Vanguardist Bandits. A brief political spat was ended when Celery cast Spell of Somnolence. 40 hours of labor vouchers, two magical grimoires, a glass bead corresponding to Pascal's Triangle, and 6 hammers and 6 sickles were recovered.
Exploring west, they burst in on a ghoul being held in some kind of jail cell and rapidly dispatched it before it could drain any life energy. This roused the ire of the necromancer Magdalena Moribund, as she was in the midst of performing experiments on the ghoul. She demanded restitution from the party but did not pursue when they backtracked.
Proceeding south from the room with sleeping Vanguardists, they encountered some goblins manning a pillbox. Though not immediately hostile, they goblins clearly didn't want them around.
In a nearby room, they found three dead Anarchist Bandits and looted a vial of Mercury-204 and a leather jacket. In the room across from it, they found a satyr statue with a note reading 'kick me' taped to its back side. Without a second thought, Celery kicked it and instantly died when a concealed goblin grenade detonated.
The survivors backtracked again, and ran into three Bandits from the Conclave for Concavitan Purity. After a brief negotiation, they tricked the bandits to explore the corridor with the goblins, leading to their death by machine gun fire.
Returning to the room with the sleeping Communist Party members, they found five other adventurers slaying the sleeping bandits. These turned out to be generally friendly to the party and gave them directions to the Nōm.
First, however, they returned to the cell where they had killed the ghoul and delivered Celery's body as a replacement, and were able to negotiate for two scrolls of Summon Awful Creature for their trouble. They then set out to sell their mercury to the Nōm.
Near a circular section of corridor, they encountered an ochre jelly, but Frank confidently arranged to incinerate it with lantern oil. A teleportation circle was discovered but not investigated. The Nōm was reached without issue, and the mercury isotope was sold for a satisfying 800 besants and a piece of advice (the location of the Bombulating Squink in the neighboring hall & some details of its treasured altarpiece).
Loot in hand, the surviving centrists were able to safely return to HQ.
